Hi Guild Members,
I've (I hope) altered the forum permissions to allow for certain types of users (e.g. guild members) to be able to view/read/post the various sections of the forum.

I've done this mainly to stop joe blow off the street or registered users that aren't guild members to be able to read guild specific posts.

Let me know if you have any problems or comments.

Guild Member Only topics are:
- Guild Member Discussion
- Guild Mail
- all Class Discussion posts

The rest I've allowed anyone to view/read/post.

Cheers Malos

Hello everyone. I am a 'new' member of the guild but feel I've been here from the begining as I was behind joining Benjalini (my husband) up and often watch over his shoulder while he plays (until August 18 when the laptop arrives). I shall add, for those of you who haven't noticed, Benjalini's son Jak often plays around on our chars (no we're not schizophrenic). He (Jak) is 14 and a basically nice kid even tho' he's 14. We have three other kids who don't play WoW (yet). Anyway, apart from introducing myself (can we start a forum for that?) I don't seem to be allowed to add posts to the guildmembers only forums. Why not? (Note slightly petulant tone) I wanted to say that while I can make the fri night social run I am happy to have an aalternate one for ppl like Jalynn and Azarul - Tuesdays between 9 and 3 AEST would suit me/us as we have no kids for 6 whole hours. Hi Jalynn! Haven't seen you in ages. (p.s am not good at chat sometimes as I like to write "essays").

Hi Missblack,
Sorry about the mix up with posting. The forum permissions work off guild ranks and “Recruits”, as they aren’t official members of the guild being a trial rank, can view certain forums but cannot post there. This may be a pain but in general a wise move?

The forum ranks are taken from The Armory which takes its data from WoW servers. Unfortunately it takes time for The Armory to be updated and time again for the guild site/forum to update its data on ranks. All of which is out of my control but I will look into what I can do manually to help speed things up.

Sorry for any grief

Edit: there is an introductions post here but you may not have been able to see/post.

Thanks Malos, and yes screening processes are always wise so I shall try to be patient... At least it wasn't just that I'm almost computer illiterate :)

Well the good news is that I've downloaded and installed and addon that will allow me to update the site/forum roster of players (ranks, levels, etc) anytime I wish without needing to wait for The Armory to be updated.
So forget being patient - hound me to update the dam site ;)

So... it's just a waiting game, eh?

That's fair enough. I shall wait. ;)
